Electronic Prescriptions

We offer Electronic prescription service at the surgery since January 2016. For this to work you will be asked to nominate a pharmacy. We will then issue your prescription electronically via a secure spine server so that the pharmacist at your chosen pharmacy can see what the GP has prescribed for you. It means you no longer need to collect a paper prescription from the surgery, instead you simply order your prescription as normal and allow 48 hours (2 working days) before going to your nominated pharmacy to collect your medication.
EPS is an NHS service that sends your prescription directly from your GP surgery to Pharmacy without the need for a paper copy. Nominate a pharmacy of your choice and this pharmacy will receive your prescription directly from your GP, via the Electronic Prescription Service(EPS).EPS is reliable, secure and confidential. Your electronic prescription will only be seen by the same people in GP practice and pharmacies who see your paper prescription now. If you are interested in using the EPS speak to your pharmacist or GP practice staff.

Repeat Prescription requests will normally be ready for collection after 48 hours (2 working days) notice.
