We have a Practice Nurse who has had full training in the management of asthma and diabetes. She is available by appointment for the following services:

  • Children’s immunisations
  • Travel advice and vaccinations
  • Monitoring of diabetes, heart disease, asthma and stroke
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Ear syringing
  • Dressings and removal of stitches
  • Well person and over 75 checks
  • Weight monitoring
  • Blood tests
  • Smoking cessation clinics

Healthcare Assistants

We have a Healthcare Assistant who provides assistance to our Practice Nurse. She is available by appointment for the following services:

  • Blood tests
  • Blood pressure checks
  • Over 75 health checks
  • New patient health checks

Practice Management

Practice Manager

Dr Ketki Desai

The practice manager is involved in managing the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services.

Administration

We have a secretary whose duties include general medical correspondence and hospital referral letters as well as helping at reception.

Reception

We have five part-time receptionists whose duties include taking prescription requests and booking appointments and also inputting data onto the computer.

Community Midwives

The community midwives are involved in ante-natal care and care during and after delivery of your baby.

Community Nurses

Our district nurses and colleagues provide nursing care in the home.

Health Visitors

The Health Visitor has special interest in children less than 5 years of age. She holds a clinic at the surgery every Wednesday morning and assists the Doctor with baby checks
